Toshio Yodoi is a leader of Nika Association and also one of the masters of representational sculpture in Showa Era. Many of his pieces are created in animal motif such as hamadryad, giraffe or donkey to depict the transitory life by such delicate composition as Giacometti uses. This figure of a young woman relaxing at the beach gives the feeling of lyricism just like this sculptor.
