「Rhythm of Green」

Takashi Shimizu (1897-1981)

Japanese Chinese Korean

This piece expresses a momentary pose of two girls dancing hand in hand. Shimizu controls his feelings and finishes a light and rhythmical work by strictly constructed architectural technique, though this theme is apt to become too dynamic.
It is highly appreciated as his own masterpiece and that of architectural sculpture to which modern Japanese sculptors had not attached great importance before.
